Kai Garcia got into electronic music in the nineties in Galicia, Spain. The Ponteareas-born and London-dwelling DJ found inspiration listening to numerous techno pioneers such as Jeff Mills, Luke Slater, Marco Carola, Oscar Mulero, to name some. Actually his sets are a fusion of electro techno and breaks, vibrant base and spine-tingling melodies. In 1998 he begun to mix techno music in clubs and at different venues in Galicia. In 2000 he started organizing events of electronic music and founded the DJ collective KARMATEK. A year later Kai Garcia started to play abroad touring Colombia and playing in "CBC" (Bogota), "Stereomatic" (Medellin) and "Pagoda" (Bucaramanga). The Colombian music magazine SHOCK underlined his success with outstanding critics. Back on Spanish soil Kai García got into music production. He begun to experiment with Reason, soft synthesizers and keyboards, creating his first authentic sounds. In 2003 he moved to London where he messed around with different styles and beats. Soon after arrival Kai performed at different venues. Kai..s explosive cocktails of house and electro energized massive crowds at clubs such as the Steam Bar (Hilton Paddington Hotel) where he played as the resident dj. After three years of shifting the record case from set to set all across London Kai García decided to move afield. In 2006 Kai begun to study sound engineering at Westminster College of London, gaining a deep knowledge in music production, sampling and synthesis process, and started to set up his own studio. After he had moved to a studio in urban Brixton, Kai got involved in London’s underground music scene and played at the JAMM, MEDUSSA, REDSTAR and many RAVES. In 2007 the collective Audio Interface Revolution(A.I.R.) was founded by Kai García, Elena and Joe Perro. Since then A.I.R. has been organizing events in the UK, Italy and Spain, collaborating with other musicians and record labels as well as promoting new artists from UK and abroad.
