David James Brodie, an unsigned and independent artist, on the www.uaradio.network, is definatly emerging. His lyrics and styling are a transitional blend of 80's pop and today's dance hear in the tracks like "Young Crazy Love" and "This Feeling" Both tracks have an intriguing blend of a soft rock vocal overlaid on a fast techno arrangement. The techno blasts adds frenetic energy reminiscent of hit soundtracks like "Flashdance" and "Footloose". Brodie's arrangment of "Young Crazy Love" has an unexpected cool island undertone, which plays homage to his eggae background. This blend has the potential to do well in today's market because of patronage by megastars like Madonna. Brodie does an excellent job of subtly adding catachy lyrics and solid vocal skills to his songs. The prediction can be made that Brodie has the potential, with more emphasis on his unique stylem, to compete with the likes of John Mellencamp.
