Welcome to my music page. Only began recording music around six months ago (at 42 that makes me a very late starter) Found myself with lots of free time and have toyed with the notion of doing something 'musical' for a long time. I record primarily in the electronic field (although I do dabble in all styles of music if the mood takes me) The golden period for me is the late seventies/early eighties and artists like Kraftwerk, Vince Clark and Georgio Moroder. Often my music reflects these influences strongly (too strongly some might say) What I lack in musical skills I make up for in enthusiasm though. Hope you enjoy my music and if you do, please leave a short message as feedback is the most important thing :)
Musical influences are very wide ranging but really enjoy the music of Kraftwerk/Yazoo/Depeche Mode/Sparks/Mordoder/Blondie/Undertones/Vince Clark/The Beach Boys/Brian Wilson/The Beatles/ Brion Eno/Bowie/Queen/Anything produced by Trevor Horn - you get the general idea :)
Kitlist details
I record on a 24' Intel Imac with a M-Audio usb soundcard and sometime a rreasonably specced windows PC too. Since I record mainly on a computer I have little need for outboard gear (except for a mic obviously lol)
I record mainly using ableton live 6 (though I have been using Reason 4 and Logic recently to learn a bit more recording wise)
The main vsts I use are stuff by arturia, NI, GMedia, and anything free I can lay my hands on. My vocoding tasks are mainly recorded with a orange vocoder (though I have used the reason vocoder and the logic one as well) Love the new ELS vocoder as well but cant afford and they declined my offer to do free demos for them lol.
