whaddya think of that timbaland tune?
quite an interesting crossover sort of sound isnt it?, i quite like this techno crossover thing which seems to be in alot of recent commercial US hiphop.
Tbh havn't really taken any interest in US commercial hiphop for a quite while but it seems to be shifting quite nicely to new ground (thank god). Lol, have you seen/heard that Snoop 70's style video with all the bootsy/parliament references? lol, funny stuff cos he doesnt come over as at all 'sexy' like bootsy could with 'Telephone Bill' - anyhoos, I sat down last night and decided to checkout a bunch of commercials tunes and alot of it was really interesting even if many of the videos were the usual crass birds&bling
heh, I have to say I really like that Soulja Boy, from a producer point of view it's just fucking perfect pop music, it's so british/yard sounding
what I like is the way that if you took away the (very well recorded and arranged) vocal parts the underlying music could be done in fruityloops or at school using cubasis and a typical Casio or Yamaha GM keyboard of the type you see in schools... On Crack That, the kik is straight out of an SR16 drumbox (the gated reverb kik drum) or at least could be, it's identical... proper ghetto stylee anyways
whatddya think? it just seems a shame british kids have been doing this sort of thing for ages and no-one wants to know outside of the uk, we dont seem to see the value in our own talent

I had an idea for a script once. It's basically Jaws except when the guys in the boat are going after Jaws, they look around and there's an even bigger Jaws. The guys have to team up with Jaws to get Bigger Jaws.... I call it... Big Jaws!!!
