Hi fellow uQ users.. I'm sure I'm just being thick here but I'm having no luck syncing my uQ's arpeggiator to midi clock coming from Cubase SX. It *used* to work just fine and admittedly I haven't used if for a while - possibly since switching to SX now I come to think of it..

I know there's very few settings on the uQ that need to be set (Clock to "Auto" basically), and I've checked SX as well. Nothing is being midi filtered out, SX is sending all kinds of midi out to everything as normal but still the uQ refuses to set its tempo to incomming midi clock...

I'm gonna try plugging my Trinity midi out directly into the uQ tonite, and just firing midi from its internal sequencer to check but apart from that I'm stumped.

Originally the problem was with O/S 2.13, but I've moved upto whatever the latest o/s revision is and the problem is still there..

Any thoughts appreciated...

uh, dunno... i think uQ has all sorts of problems with syncing to external clock, not only for arps. why dont you set the bpm internaly and save it with the arp? that way it'll always be at the right tempo. Gl....

well, i dunno if they fixed it, but one of the SX bugs was lack of/poor/unstable external midi clock send

I had an idea for a script once. It's basically Jaws except when the guys in the boat are going after Jaws, they look around and there's an even bigger Jaws. The guys have to team up with Jaws to get Bigger Jaws.... I call it... Big Jaws!!!

Arp sync of the microQ and SX works fine on my system.

Are you sure that you send midi clock to the mQ ?
-->Transport/Sync-Settings/Midi-Clock. the box of the appropriate midi port must be checked.

Pretty sure but it won't hurt to check again, thanks Stefan.. I'll know more once I plug my Trin into it as well.

K, interesting thought about the poor midi syncing but if Stefan's okay then... Hmmm...
