dont really have a lot of experience here...last vocal thing i did, i tracked in acid! anything wrong with that? sound quality-wise? sounded alright to me...but i was thinking maybe i should get vegas or cool edit pro...this guy i know tracked a whole guitar band in cubase 5, no vsti...is that mad or what??

nope.

no real reason "sound quality" wise not to use acid, either!

if it works for you it works for you..altho...dont you have to record it elsewhere and then import?

Im usin SX but..I dont do live recordings

I do the full band thing in Sonar. A lot of people work in those programs without ever using the MIDI section.
