Does anyone know of an affordable, but good sounding turntable for recording (to computer and then CD)? It doesn't need to be completely skip proof or have lots of DJ'ing features, just needs to have a really clean sound...

If anyone has any ideas, It'd be pretty damn cool if you lemme know...

thanks

FAB

The sound depends mostly on the cartridge/needle combination, not the drive. so basicaly, most any turntable which doesnt wobble should fulfill your needs as long as you buy a good cartridge.

not true glasshopper, the deck itself makes ALOT of difference... and the deck/cart setup - IF you DONT need any DJ features at all, try a Rega. you can also get acoustic putty to deaden your deck, it sets harder than concrete & is super-dense.

I had an idea for a script once. It's basically Jaws except when the guys in the boat are going after Jaws, they look around and there's an even bigger Jaws. The guys have to team up with Jaws to get Bigger Jaws.... I call it... Big Jaws!!!
