We caught Dead Famous at a venue in Camden a while back and wanted to get them on the site cos they are trashy, brash and glam punk and they do it well... Here's their Bio below - go and see them.

Formed with charismatic frontman/rhythm guitarist MARK THORN in October 2003 and lead guitarist BENZI in response to an advert. The two founding members wasted no time in pooling their songwriting talents. Soon they were recruiting the missing members who came in the form of Four Letter Fury drummer/founder MIKE FURY and finally harmonica-wielding bass player AKI.

Now the main problem was in deciding what clothes to wear and cosmetics to apply...! Inspired by a concoction of 70's,80's and 90's Glam,Punk,Garage,Rock and even a touch of the blues, they wove a fine trashy tapestry of sound and vision bearing resemblances to Iggy Pop, The New York Dolls, T-Rex, Motley Crue and the Ramones.

With the killer tunes, clothing and make-up in place they were now..."DEAD FAMOUS". A challenging name but one which mirrored their desires and was to the point, harbouring their belief and expressing their intention in no uncertain terms.

DEAD FAMOUS first burst onto the London live scene in late April 2004 with an incendiary performance at the Camden Underworld. From thism date they have taken their "Rock and Roll Dream@ to a whole host of London venues including diverse support alongside the legendary Kim Salmon and the Scientists at the Dirty Water Club and Hurricane Party at their Underworld stage debut. They have left a trail of both stunned and thrilled audiences in their wake with their pure unadulterated Rock 'N' Roll experience.

DEAD FAMOUS have a 5-track CD,recorded by acclaimed producer Pete Lorentz(Buzzcocks, Vibrators) and have their own website at www.deadfamous.com. Interested parties can contact them via their website.
