Rich Hope hails from Vancouver, Canada and delivers classic hi-octane rock&roll & country blues with a contemporary edge. We went down to the 12Bar club in Denmark street to checkout another forthcoming gig, and ended up seeing Rich perform a one-off London show prior to moving on up north for further UK dates...
He's got an album out on Maximum Music which'll hopefully be released in the Uk soon, and we liked his style so much we bought a copy there & then!... Rich manages to retain a really authentic N.American classic sound which wouldn't be out of place on the dashboard of your pickup truck alongside classic Waylon Jennings, John Prine or John Lee Hooker... It's badbwoy country blues; a flash of "Gimme Shelter" skull & wings tattoo walking the line with an energy and sound right in the pocket with something more contemporary like Alabama 3... it's something edgy and exciting...
If you're into this genre, this guy does it REALLY well!... So, here's a number on video... go and check him out on the web... Great stuff!
