I can't beleive it's not Sabbath!!

The Sabbath are THE top Sabbath tribute band (according to our bassist who is a massive Sabbath fan).. So, we had to go down and check 'em out playing at The Cartoon in Croydon and we were not dissapointed!

Any aspiring metal youngsters should definately go and see these guys cos they do it, and they do it so well!... You get treated to a REALLY high quality hard rock band... Steaming rock-solid bass right in the pocket everytime... Powerhouse drums with all those jazzy 'Sabbath' touches...and a total fuck-off shredmaster guitarist!!.. ..Add to that a frontman who is almost indistinguishable from the real Ozzy visualy and vocaly and you're in for a night of serious rockage!

So checkout the video! - Before you play it, please bear in mind that sadly, like with many local venues, The Cartoon doesn't really do 'lights', and the stage was very gloomy for the camera. To make matters worse, there was a couple of light cans at the back of the stage behind the band facing forward towards the camera & audience!... So the camera was continualy trying to meter the light from behind the band.

We had to apply some pretty drastic processing back at base to the footage to make the band members even visible, especialy the guitarist who was cloaked in appropriate 'metal darkness' on the stage-left area.. oh well!... They do it so well we HAD to use the footage anyways, so we're sorry the footage ain't so good.... to get the band visible we had to boost the contrast & brightness and mess with the gamma settings ALOT!... the results are very grainy, but the music shines thru!

Also, a quick note about the venue - The Cartoon in Croydon is a decent sized venue about 500 sq ft, similar to the Garage @ Highbury - A good rock crowd and a good vibe.

So... usualy we add only one video number for each featured band, but in the case of these guys, even tho they are not an originals band we've added 2 tracks... So the first video is the classic 'Fairies in Boots', and the second is 'Mr Crowley'... Enjoy!... and seriously, get out and see them, especialy all you aspiring shredmaster guitarists cos their axe-man is right off the fuckin map man!





Heh heh... the singer's so much like Ozzy innit!... lol, i Love all the little 'Ozzy' moves he does... perfect! :) - Oh, and a good loud sound at the venue btw, checkout the tom fills, clear as anything with tons of power... Good quality PA & engineer!
