Born in Rochester,NY Shamar Woods, the youngest of five, always knew he had been bitten by the music bug, but It wasn't until his family relocated to Orlando.Fla when he got his first big shot at the tender age of 13 at a local radio station talent show. Performing Lionel Richie's ''Sail On'' Shamar received standing ovations and won first place prize (A Demo Deal) Impressed with Shamar's performance music industry veteran managers Johnny Wright and Doug Brown quickly signed him to Wright Entertainment Group. While under the wing of (WEG) Shamar has written for many major recording artists from the likes of TLC,Blaque,Sammie,N'Toon,B5,Jo Jo,Sam Salter...and more. After parting ways with representation Shamar left home in Orlando and relocated to Atlanta to further pursue his career on his own. Running into the right people, Shamar found himself in heavy hitmaker Babyface's R&B group 3rd Storee, but sad to say after a few cuts were recorded the group disbanded. Now 20, Shamar is all grown up and sexy in the art of performing. Once you witness his charming good looks and his fluid dance moves you too will be convinced that he's music's newest hearthrob. Talent and determination paved the way for his sumptious solo debut ''No Regrets'' with productions by Dallas Austin,Oak Felder, Brian Michael Cox,Jazzy Pha,Mike City,Teddy Bishop,Kenny Kold and Marvalous J who penned the shimmering hood hop first single ''The Truth'' which features Atlanta rappers C-SIDE.The ability to examine ones heart and mind lies at the core of Shamars appeal. This album is about different things that I went through, different phases and stages of my life. I love writing lyrics and making hot music, and I want to be as honest as possible. -Shamar
